after reading michelle's 2009 reflective entry, it made me want to do the same kind of thing..
- at the end of january i made my first trip to utah to help my sister pick out a wedding dress. i spent the night in my sister's dorm, saw madagascar two on a double date and went 70's roller skating.
- mid-april i got my first real job at firehouse subs. working wasn't (and still isn't) my favorite but it's taught me alot about dealing with people and problems and has made me a better worker.
- june 5th i turned 17. there wasn't much to it. we had cake a presents and i got another year older. not much changed.
- the second week of july i went to girls camp and was a YCL over the first years. it was nice having little girls say how cool you are and it was nice to be an example to them.
- that same week my sister was married in the DC temple. i got to see my family and also meet various members of the Lindsay family. we had lots of fun and i'm glad my sister chose to be an example and get married in the temple.
- the week after that, we took a family vacation to illinois and wisconsin. i got to see the midwest for the first time and i absolutely loved it. chicago is so busy and big and appleton was so quaint and pretty. everything is green and there's so much cheese. it's a really nice place and i wouldn't mind going back.
- at the end of august i started school as a senior. i didn't feel much different but it was nice to rule the school for a change.
- we went to west virginia for thanksgiving and it was awesome to be surrounded by all my family. my little cousins thought i was great and i'm going to miss them next thanksgiving.
- at the beginning of december i applied for BYU provo and idaho. i should find out soon if i got into either.
- mid-december i finished senior project and am now ready to breeze-through the rest of my high school career.
- christmas was small and fun. jennnifer and daniel came a few days afterwards and i can't think i could have celebrated the holidays in a better way.
2009 has been fun...but i'm ready for 2010; bring on the new year, baby.
song of the year: fireflies- owl city
